I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend!
Saturday my husband and I went out to see our parents.
I helped my Mom with sorting and organizing her small bookcases. We dusted, sorted, and rummaged through books that had been double stacked on the shelves. One of the shelves in the back had ventured downward and my Mom thought it to be broken, but thankfully it turned out that the dowel in the back wasn’t aligned with the other dowels and so that was a simple fix.
Mom picked a huge bag full to get rid of. I took them back with us and started to slowly distribute the books to the various little libraries in our city.
We put her chosen keepers in a semblance of order and she was able to stop double stacking them. The entire room felt fresher and better when this small task was completed. It’s amazing how a little thing like that can change the entire feel of a room!
Next we went over to my in-laws and spent some time with them, my brother and sister-in-law, and our niece. Our niece got to experience her first Easter egg hunt in their back yard.
Sunday hubby and I worked on our various projects including putting the final touches on this website!
I ventured into my first foray working on video editing for my YouTube channel episodes (which are new every Wednesday). The software I used got the job done, but I think I will try out a different one next week. It wasn’t very user friendly and even though I got the general idea of what I wanted; it didn’t actually achieve 100% what I was trying to do. I won’t settle for less.
Learning new skills always take time; overnight successes are very rarely actually overnight successes. A lot of behind the scenes hard work goes in. It was worth the literal headache because I was able to get my outro music and ending picture added and am extremely pleased with how that turned out.
Good things don’t come to those who wait, good things come to those who work their asses off to make them happen. What do YOU want to achieve? Set smaller goals, put in the time and effort, do your research, and just go for it! #MondayMotivation
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
