Once I spotted the little sign outside, I knew we had to check it out.
My husband and I went in and right away we realized this was more gift oriented than book oriented.
There were tons of different types of gems and stones. Their names, prices, and attributes marked and displayed on tiny notes attached to the small baskets that held them. Some of the stones laid on the shelving.
There were necklaces, tarot card sets, pillows, chakra items galore, boxes, scarves and singing bowls.
Toward the back of the store, there was a small section of books.
Books on organic living, healthy living, balancing the chakras, tarot reading, and things of that nature.
The layout was overall small, but the store packs a lot in that space.
I did not inquire on the psychic reading part, but that is apparently a service available.
The store has been in business since 1984 and their business cards say “Your Spiritual Resource Center” on them.
There was also a small “free bookmark” area where the store name was written in crayon by what I am assuming to be one of the little ones of the store owners and/or workers.
The entire vibe is very welcoming and friendly and you get a general sense of relaxation just stepping in. Maybe not the best place for book browsing and will probably be the least amount of books on offer of all other stores I plan to cover in this series; the books that are here may be just the ones you are looking for though if you are trying to find more spiritually specialized reading material.
