MY TBR for 2021

I have set my TBR at 50 books for 2021. The reason for this was based on math and stats from my 2020 reading, along with what I project I will want to read in the new year, but also in trying to limit my reading. Yes, you read that correctly! I am trying to cut back on time spent reading and obsessing over books so I can replace that […]

2020 Book Stats

For 2020 I set my goal originally for for 130 books. I hit that goal of 130 books and went quite beyond! 2020 book stats: 198 books read in total. My shortest book was 1 page (Jude-a book of the bible of course) and my longest read was 984 pages (Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas). I read 49,425 pages total. Which nearly doubled my page count from 2019. […]

Top 5 Most Anticipated Reads of 2021

There are many books that I am excited about that are releasing in 2021, which makes it difficult to narrow down, but here are my top 5 most anticipated reads for 2021. I included a Tentative Hype amongst the books I am anticipating. Every book on this list is by an author I have read from before and am obviously hoping to love. Several of my favorite series are continuing […]

Travel Part Seven: We Snowbirds Snowbird Again

Fall came and went and with it so did we! Traveling from Illinois to California this time, we didn’t rush yet we made excellent time to get here. We debated originally going to stay in Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina, or Arizona again, but ultimately decided on So-Cal. We kept an eye on the Covid numbers and made sure to travel safe and smart. We made a few overnight stops along […]

Travel Part Six: We Snowbirds Go Back to Illinois for the Summer & Fall

We safely made it back to Illinois for the summer! Once we returned, we set up our spot, quarantined, and then set about visiting a very small amount of friends and family all outside and at a distance. It was really nice to be able to catch up and spend time relaxing outside around a fire. We got a lot of fishing done, although not very productive in that we […]

2020 O.W.L.s TBR

For the third year of O.W.L.s how fitting is it that I am going for the Wizarding Career of Seer? First of all, we have the obvious connection: my handle of SweetheartSeer. Talk about going on brand! Then we have the fact that this year is 2020 and who doesn’t want to have “the sight” of 2020 vision? My favorite of all though is that in book three of Harry […]

Travel Part 5: Back to Arizona

When we stayed in Arizona before it was close to Phoenix and at an extended stay hotel. This time it was in Quartzsite and in our RV. We like it a lot better this time around. Check out my YouTube travel channel video of us driving back to Arizona here. Now the funny thing is that it rained for about a week for us and we were like “Really?!” It […]

Travel Part 4: California & Paying Off Debt

On our way to California, we wound up hitting a post that was in the ground all camouflaged like the snow it was set in. At night. At a place that we did not end up staying for various reasons. Adelaide was injured for a bit, but thankfully she got fixed during our time in California. The RV park we stayed at until we had to take Adelaide into the […]

Travel Part 3: Nevada & Slowing Down A Little

When we got to Nevada, we stayed at a National Park and paid a little more to get a beautiful view because this was our very first stop with our very first RV. We stayed through Christmas and into the New Year. We checked out The Hoover Dam, Las Vegas-both the strip and Fremont Street, and got to see the Big Horn Sheep of Nevada which I was particularly excited […]

Travel Part 2: New Mexico to Arizona & Getting Our First RV.

Once we left Colorado, we went through and stopped in New Mexico before making our way into Arizona. Again we stayed at an extended stay hotel. We wound up staying in Arizona where we were for about a month and a half or so. We were getting very tired of moving all of our stuff constantly and decided to try to find ourselves an RV. We used a lot of […]
