PREDICTING YOUR NEXT GREAT READ

Lately

Hello sweet friends! Long time, no updates!

Let’s jump right in:

Won NaNoWriMo. You are considered to have “won” NaNoWriMo if you have written 50,000 + words for the month of November and I did. Whoo hoo! My work in progress is still going strong, although I have slowed down a bit as I have a TON of end of the year projects and wrap-ups going on. I actually planned for the slow down to happen, so it’s fine. My romance novel, “Wicked Whoa” has taken some interesting twists and turns since I started. It is still in the drafting stage, so I haven’t gone back to do any edits or anything yet. We are at a little over 60,000 words at the time of this writing and I am thriving with this second person point of view which I did not expect at all! So that’s neat.

In our travels to get from Illinois to Arizona, hubby and I checked out a few fun stops along the way and we made sure to stop by our favorite spot of all of our travels so far: The Petrified Forrest.

We also recently celebrated our 12 years since we met by checking out the Japanese Friendship Garden in Phoenix, Arizona. (Our actual anniversary of 12 years being together will be on December 13th).

We also put up (and decorated) a tree in our hotel room to help get into the Christmas spirit. We *had* to include mini RVs as part of the ornaments because we are still planning on getting an RV next year:

As for reading, I have mostly been doing rereads so far in December, hubby and I listened to “Six of Crows” by Leigh Bardugo en route on audio, and I read “Punk 57” by Penelope Douglas across several hotels along the way in November:

I am absolutely going to hit my goal of 125 books this year and have set my goal already for 40 books for next year because I anticipate next year to be even busier than this year was! I am already working on book stats and everything, so be on the lookout for book stat updates at the end of December (and the video flip thru of my Book Journal coming at the end of December/beginning of January):

In the meantime, here is a little sneak peek at my final flip thru for my Commonplace Book (Part Two) which will be releasing on my channel on Christmas Eve day:

So as you can see, I have been working on wrapping up a LOT of projects for the year and filming and editing a lot. Check out my channel and subscribe so you can keep up with our adventures: CLICKETY CLICK RIGHT HERE MY FRIENDS!

Other than all that, we have been enjoying exploring the area, going for daily walks over lunch breaks, and drinking a LOT of coffee. It has been especially great to go out in t-shirts and shorts without adding extra layers, etc. because it has been in the 70s here in Arizona lately.

We are both super excited for Christmas break and I will be taking my usual Holiday Hiatus from December 18th through February 1st this year. I am SO looking forward to it! I am trying something a bit different this year and have scheduled posts across my socials which will post during my hiatus automatically, but won’t be on to respond to comments/checking socials during that time.

So there you have it, a little curated update of what’s been happening lately from our warm and toasty corner of the world. See you next time!
